West Valley Chorale announces 40th anniversary season

The West Valley Chorale is a Surprise 501(c)(3) nonprofit performing arts organization comprised of auditioned singers from 10 communities throughout the West Valley and is supported by season sponsor Sanderson Lincoln, Royal Oaks, spring concert sponsor, advertisers, ticket sales and tax-deductible donations from patrons.

The West Valley Chorale will kick off its 40th anniversary performance season with concerts and special events.
In November, they will host the 5th annual Young Singers Competition for high school junior and senior vocalists.
Winners will perform as soloists at chorale concerts in December and April 2024. The anniversary concerts theme is “America in Song,” featuring compositions from Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland and more.
Excerpts from commissioned works by Dan Forrest, Craig Bohmler and Christine Kyne, principal accompanist, will be featured.
A special December performance will be held with the West Valley Symphony “The Spirit of the Season” concert Sunday, Dec. 17.
The West Valley Singers, the small group ensemble, will perform throughout the season in conjunction with community organizations events. They may be engaged through the chorale website for various event.
December concerts will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5 at American Lutheran Church, 17200 N. Del Web Blvd., and 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7 at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church, 13658 W. Meeker Blvd.
“The Spirit of the Season” is 3 p.m. Dec. 17, where the West Valley Chorale will join the West Valley Symphony to perform holiday music at the Vista Center for the Arts, 15660 N. Parkview Place. Visit westvalleysymphony.org for more information and tickets.
The celebration continues into spring with two final concerts with Young Singers Competition winners as soloists. Concerts will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 2 at American Lutheran Church in Sun City and 7 p.m. Thursday, April 4 at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church in Sun City West.
