This is in response to the letter to the newsroom (“There should be no judgment for gender blurs,” Sun City West Independent, July 5, 2023).
Here are the statements that are untrue.
One refers to all churches affirming the worth of LGBTQ-plus. It is not the churches’ responsibility to affirm the LGBTQ-plus, but to pray for these lost souls. This is following the gospels of Jesus and the Bible (old and new testament).
Two, it was stated that the gospels of Jesus never address homosexuality. The gospels are the whole Bible old and new, but he did address that we should pray for those who commit unnatural acts, like men with men, woman with woman or humans with animals. It was not in Jesus’ teaching to condemn anyone or anything but to point it out for believers to pray for these unnatural actions.
Three, you stated no one knows how long it will be before Lord God/Jesus Christ comes to save us. The sins of Sodom as you stated was taken out of context, it was what the community was doing not individuals.
Four, no indoctrination in school or churches, while universities are failing students for referring to genders of men and woman, the media calling anyone that does not go along with the LGBTQ-plus a racist or doing pride weeks and drag shows for elementary school children and telling the children not to tell their parents about this indoctrinations and what is going on at school, like name changes and so on.
I am adding some scripture you may want to read — Genesis 1:26-27, 2:21-23, Leviticus 18:22-30, 20:13-16, Deuteronomy 22:5, Mark 7:21-23, Romans 1:16-17, 1:23-32, Ephesians 6:1-4,6:19 — maybe the whole Bible.
You have referred to the gospel to only be of Jesus, which is wrong because the gospel is the whole Bible (old and new testaments). Also, all of Jesus’ words were not quoted, just the ones that covered his teaching, and when questioned regarding sexual items he referred to the Mosaic Law.
It might be wise for you to read the whole Bible, old and new testament. My feeling on this is that all have the right to live their own life and I will pray for them, but keep it to their self and not force it on others.
