Voorhees: Pay attention to irrigation systems

On my daily bicycle rides around Sun City West I often see water running into, and sometimes down, the street from residential yards.

Voorhees: Pay attention to irrigation systems

Posted

On my daily bicycle rides around Sun City West I often see water running into, and sometimes down, the street from residential yards.

Sometimes it’s a broken sprinkler head or line, and I can usually alert the homeowner to the problem. But other times the flow from the sprinklers is far more than the ground can absorb and away it goes.

Besides wasting a precious resource, water here is not cheap, so hopefully these few residents will do themselves and the rest of us a favor and pay more attention to their irrigation systems.
