Vejraska: Sun City West Posse needs more volunteers

Posted

This is an open letter to Sun City West residents.

The Sheriff’s Posse of Sun City West is in trouble. Not financially, not legally; but rather with the lack of members to patrol our streets.

Since its inception 42 years ago, the men and women of this community have stepped up to the plate and volunteered to serve in this organization. Today this is not happening!

The Posse is on the streets 365 days of the year with 3-4 patrol cars on each shift. The goal is to cover every street, every business, bank, recreation center,  golf course, medical building and water well on every shift. This is no longer possible! Many of our people are working 8-10 shifts per month to cover the needed patrols.

We need your help! Please stop in at the Posse headquarters, 20450 West Stardust Blvd.,  and tour our facility. Check out the services performed by the Posse and visit with a recruiter

Sun City West is one of the safest places to reside in the United States. But without new recruits, our services will diminish until they are no longer in existence. We cannot allow this to happen!
