The Foresters perform at local church
Posted
The Foresters, a family band in full-time gospel music ministry, will perform 4 p.m. Sunday, March 26, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, which meets at First Presbyterian Church, 12225 N. 103rd Ave. There is no admission charge but a free-will offering will be taken.
The group, which travels the United States and Canada performing more than 200 concerts each year, sings southern and traditional gospel music while playing a variety of instruments including piano, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, mandolin, harmonica and drums.
The Foresters consist of ordained minister Mark (vocals, piano and guitars), Andrea (vocals and bass guitar), Tyler (drums and guitar) and Trevor (vocals and bass guitar).
They began this ministry in June of 2000, the day after their honeymoon ended, singing at two churches and have been busy on the road ever since. Today, Tyler, 16, and Trevor, 12, play a vital role in the music and ministry alongside their parents.
