The Surprise Arts Commission is preparing a pair of art gallery tours this week.

It starts with a local art gallery tour of public art pieces at three local art galleries from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Jan. 19.

Join the Surprise Arts and Cultural Advisory Commission for a guided tour of Arts HQ, WHAM Arts Association and Ground Floor Artists. Those interested should contact each organization for exhibits on display during the tour. Register at surpriseaz.gov/ArtsSignUp.

Then, the commission will lead a tour of artist Joe Tyler’s home and studio in Surprise from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan 21.

Take a free tour of the home studio of local artist Joe Tyler. Tyler has worked on more than one hundred projects, most of them large public art sculptures with strong botanical influences.

Space is limited and registration is required.

Learn about Tyler’s work at artistic-vision.com.

Register for the event at surpriseaz.gov/ArtsSignUp.
