New officers for Sun City West’s Sunshine Animal Club, which advocates for small dogs and other domesticated animals, will take office May 1. They include president Wendy McGraw, vice president Peggy McAlpine, secretary Maureen Kalb and treasurer Barbara King.

This is a social club comprised of members who spend time with one another and their small dogs at Sun City West’s small animal dog park located in the far northeast corner of the R.H. Johnson center parking lot. Members and dog park users must be Sun City West residents who pay annual recreational center dues.

The club holds its meetings on an October through April schedule. Those interested in bringing their dog to the park can enter its parking lot from W. Meeker Blvd., then make their way to the far northeast corner of the lot.
