The Sun City West Sportsman’s Club will meet 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, in the Palm Ridge center, Summit Hall A, 13800 W. Deer Valley Drive.

Members and guests can meet with the various group leaders from 1 to 1:30 p.m. to have their questions answered. There will be a short business meeting starting at 1:30 p.m., followed by the meeting guest speaker, triathlete Ed Sproull, who will speak on “Training for a Triathlon.”

The hiking group continues with weekly hikes every Thursday. Snowbird hiking season continues through April 30. Meet in area 14 of the R.H. Johnson parking lot to sign liability waivers and pair up drivers and riders. Departure times change by month due to sunrise and temperatures. Michael Anenen is the hike coordinator and communicator. Anyone interested in the Snowbird hikes can email manenen@sbcglobal.net to be on his hiking contact list. He will send emails each week detailing the upcoming hike. Michael and several other volunteers will lead the C and B hikes.

The SCW Masters Swimmers has coached workouts 7-8:30 a.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at the RH Johnson pool.
