The Sun City West Model Railroad Club recently held its annual election meeting where members were elected to start their positions in January. This includes Howie Mann, president; Steve Sumner, vice president; Terry Taylor, secretary; and Bob Rose, treasurer.
The club’s holiday show at the R.H. Johnson center runs 1-4 p.m. Dec. 21 and 22 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 23. Lights will be lit at the G Scale Beardsley location 5-7 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays through Jan. 11. Tuesday run times at Beardsley are noon-2 p.m.
Club members operate N, HO and G scale trains six days a week between the two locations. N/HO operate 9 a.m.-noon Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and G scale times vary on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, but are normally noon-2 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday and noon-3 p.m. Saturday.
The Choo Choo Chicks help at their own social events along with other club events.
