Sun City West country club pro retires

Briarwood leadership changing

Posted

The head golf pro at Briarwood Country Club, 20800 N. 135th Ave., Sun City West, retired at the beginning of May.

Andy Fellows’ retirement was effective May 1.

Fellows was with Briarwood for the past eight years and was a steady hand since he arrived. He has strong personal traits as well as professional qualities that are numerous, according to Briarwood officials. He has always taken an extra step to ensure a successful tournament or special event. He is a dedicated golf professional, knowledgeable of the rules and always fair minded and equitable, Briarwood officials stated.

Fellows and his wife, Maria, decided that it is time to retire and head back home to Connecticut and they believe that now is the time to enjoy life and start new adventures.

Fellows made many significant contributions to Briarwood, according to country club officials.
