Sun City West club showcases the southwest

Two display windows give passers-by a glimpse inside the Rip ’N’ Sew club and a clue to what its members do.

The front window display, where these items are showing now, changes every few months.

Dianne Repsholdt and Joan Hardy curate the front window and they recently chose a United States southwest theme. These items will be on display until at least August.

Hardy said she and Repsholdt asked members of the Sun City West club to loan their southwest-themed things for display. The items will be returned to their owners once a vintage handwork display goes up.

Other items in the window include machine-embroidered baskets done by Connie Province, an apron made by Laurie Brammer, a southwest scene by Jeanne Phillips, a snap basket by Lynn Craig and a chili pepper wall hanging Repsholdt made in a recent class.
