Scrapbooking, Papercrafts & More member Sondra Southard recently gave a workshop in how to coordinate colors and patterns of scrap strips of designer paper and then weave them into tapestry backgrounds for greeting cards.
Card makers and paper crafters have an abundance of leftover scraps of printed scrapbooking paper trimmed from other card making projects. The pieces are too pretty to throw out and most members save their scraps for future use and find it especially satisfying when they may be fashioned into an entirely new or different style of card.
After each member created a colorful woven paper background, they added stamped and die cut images and sentiments to personalize the greeting cards.
