It may be triple digits outside, but members of Scrapbooking, Papercrafts & More stayed cool learning how to make a fanciful fan card.

Taught by member Linda Cherry, participants turned to their paper cutters and rulers to measure, cut and assemble the required sections for the card. Decorative secondary layers selected to coordinate with the cardstock base color were cut from colorful designer papers and attached to the “fan” sections.

Once assembled, the card foundation resembled a delicate fan that members decorated with a central embellishment or sentiment. Despite using the same card design, the cards created during the class each had their own flavor and style unique to the creators.
