Sun City West club honors veterans all year

Posted

As Americans celebrate the Fourth of July with parades, fireworks, cookouts and more, Quilts for a Cause, a special interest group within the Rip ‘N’ Sew Club, almost always has a stack of completed lap quilts in patriotic colors ready for groups that request them.

Veterans organizations, hospices and nursing homes frequently ask the Sun City West club for these quilts to honor their members, clients and residents.

Groups in Sun City West or nearby that would like lap quilts made in patriotic colors to honor veterans can call Rip ‘N’ Sew at 623-546-4050. Leave a message for Linda Logan, who co-leads Quilts for a Cause. The message should include a name, phone number, the group represented and what quilts are sought.
