The Women’s Ministry at First Baptist Church, 17419 N. Conquistador Drive, invites all community women to a fashion show and luncheon 11 a.m.-1 p.m. May 3.
The goal of the fashion show is to help senior women, especially widows and singles, shop for clothing and accessories with the specific goal of saving money while still looking well-dressed.
Models in the show will wear clothing and accessories that have been purchased at local thrift stores, and tips and information gleaned from their own shopping will be provided to help attendees shop wisely. Two examples are staying on top of special sale days at the stores and researching the specific days the thrift stores receive and put out their most recent merchandise.
A luncheon provided by women of the church will kick off the activities, and ladies should call the church office at 623-584-5738 by noon May 1 to register their attendance.
