Sun City West church plans Thanksgiving banquet, concert

First Baptist Church observes Thanksgiving by annually hosting a banquet for the church and community. This year, the banquet will be 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at 17419 N. Conquistador Drive.
The evening’s activities will feature a catered, traditional Thanksgiving meal, with turkey, dressing and all the trimmings. There will also be a concert by trumpet player Dr. Jesse McGuire.
McGuire has played for three United States presidents, NBA and NFL playoff games, the World Series and the Daytona 500. He has worked with artists like Bunky Green, Paul Simon and Stevie Wonder.

First Baptist Church observes Thanksgiving by annually hosting a banquet for the church and community. This year, the banquet will be 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at 17419 N. Conquistador Drive.
The evening’s activities will feature a catered, traditional Thanksgiving meal, with turkey, dressing and all the trimmings. There will also be a concert by trumpet player Dr. Jesse McGuire.
McGuire has played for three United States presidents, NBA and NFL playoff games, the World Series and the Daytona 500. He has worked with artists like Bunky Green, Paul Simon and Stevie Wonder.
McGuire also holds bachelor of theology, master of divinity and doctor of ministry degrees. He has served in prison ministry and earned an Emmy award for his work with the Arizona Literacy and Learning Center.
Tickets for the evening are $18 per person and should be purchased in person before noon Monday, Nov. 17, at the church office.
