Posted
Shepherd of the Hills Church, 13658 W. Meeker Blvd., will host a special Medicare presentation 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, in Fellowship Hall.
This event is open to the public and designed for every Medicare recipient.
The presentation will focus on the upcoming changes to Medicare as a result of the Inflation Reduction Act, which will significantly impact Medicare Insurance starting Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025. The speaker is a licensed health insurance broker who will provide an in-depth explanation of the changes, including both positive aspects and potential concerns that Medicare recipients should be aware of.
The topics will cover the effects of the Inflation Reduction Act on Medicare, what steps individuals should take to ensure they are in the best possible plan for their needs and how to avoid common pitfalls, including scams and high-pressure tactics from call center agents.
The goal of this presentation is to help Medicare recipients, caretakers, and families of Medicare beneficiaries understand the full scope of these changes.
