Sun City West church hosts Peter, Paul and Mary tribute

As part of its homecoming celebrations, Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church is presenting Peter, Paul and Mary Remembered, a trio who recreate the sound and spirit of the iconic folk group that helped define the 1970s, 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, in the Fellowship Hall, 13658 W. Meeker Blvd. Admission is free and all are welcome.

The group — Marty Province, Dave Dumas and Sharron Owen — came together out of a shared love for the music of Peter, Paul and Mary. What began as casual jam sessions among friends quickly grew into a full-fledged musical project, fueled by their passion for harmony and nostalgia.

In a special connection to Shepherd of the Hills, Province previously served as Pastor Deborah Lerner’s music director at Gilbert United Methodist Church, making this performance a homecoming in more ways than one.
