Shepherd of the Hills Church, 13658 W. Meeker Blvd., is hosting a blessing of the pets 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5.
The event will include a celebration, blessings and activities, beginning with a brief message reflecting on the unique bond between humans and their pets and celebrating the joy and companionship they bring. Following the message, each pet will receive a personalized blessing to ensure health, happiness and well-being in the year ahead.
In addition to the blessing ceremony, attendees can enjoy several activities designed to create lasting memories with their furry friends. A photo booth will be available for owners to capture special moments, while a paw print station will allow pets to leave their mark as a keepsake. Treats will also be provided for cats and dogs in attendance.
“We are thrilled to offer this event as a way to bring our community together and honor the important role that pets play in our lives,” said Pastor Deborah Lerner, lead pastor of Shepherd of the Hills. “This is a wonderful opportunity for us to share in the joy and love that our pets bring and to extend God’s blessings to all creatures, great and small.”
