Sun Cities Community Orchestra concludes season with 2 performances

The Sun Cities Community Orchestra, under the direction of Clark Chaffee, ends its 2024-25 season with performances 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 13, at Lakeview Methodist Church in Sun City, and 3 p.m. Sunday, March 23, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Sun City West.

Both events are free to attend with donations accepted.

The concert at Lakeview will be part of the regular “Thursday Night Together” series. Featured on the program will be trumpeter Dan Reed and vocalist Ellie Chaffee with works by Leroy Anderson, Nicholas Rimski-Korsakov, Beethoven, Brahms, George Gershwin and others.

The concert at Our Lady of Lourdes will be part of the Lenten series of concerts. Series host and organist/vocalist Kaitlynn Eaton will be featured singing with orchestra. On the program will be works of Brahms, Vivaldi, Beethoven, Corelli, Tchaikovsky and Gershwin.

This program is the finale of Chaffee’s first season as director of the orchestra.
