Members of Scrapbooking, Papercrafts & More have weekly opportunities to learn how to make new styles or techniques of greeting cards.

Member Deedee Runner recently taught fellow members how to make the versatile Collar Fold card design. When complete, the style is reminiscent of a vertical pointed shirt collar.

Using double-sided designer papers printed in complementary colorful patterns, attendees learned how to cut and fold select sections of a card sized piece of paper so that it revealed both sides of the paper as well as a background. The card makers then embellished the cards with stamped or die cut greetings and ribbon to make bold all-occasion cards.

SPAM meets in Beardsley Center’s Agave Room on Thursdays (9 a.m.-3 p.m.), Fridays (9 a.m.-3 p.m.) and Saturdays (9 a.m.-5 p.m.).
