Scrapbooking, Papercrafts & More’s recent Galentine’s Day event was opened to Sun City West residents interested in learning about the skills and tools used in making hand-crafted greeting cards and discovering what the paper-crafting club is all about.
Each guest was paired with a club member who assisted with using some of the club’s unique paper-crafting tools to make fanciful Valentine’s Day cards and decorative candy holders.
Attendees learned how to incorporate a basic paper folding technique to create a lollipop holder, which was then embellished with paper punched flowers and hearts. Snacks and door prizes were available during the event organized by members Lynne Marion and Lu-Ann Grillo.
Learn how to make greeting cards, papercrafts or scrapbooks (traditional or digital) by joining SPAM meets in the Beardsley center’s Agave Room on Wednesdays (4-9 p.m.), Thursdays (9 a.m.-3 p.m.), Fridays (9 a.m.-3 p.m.) and Saturdays (9 a.m.-5 p.m.).
