Did you know the R. H. Johnson digital library can go with residents during summer travels?

The eBooks, audio books and digital magazines are available through the Libby app and can be accessed with a rec card from anywhere. Residents can download the items when there is Internet available and listen or read without needing wi-fi. Items automatically return so there are never any late fees.

We have more than 2,000 audio books available for download that can be played through most car stereos using a smartphone, tablet or iPad to connect to the radio. The library has more than 8,000 eBooks to choose from with new ones added each month. Book recommendations can be made through the scw.overdrive.com. There are more than 4,000 digital magazines, which are always available with no wait lists or holds needed to read the newest issue.

There are two online options for learning. Universal classes can be accessed from the Libby app or through the library catalog homepage. There are a wide range of subjects with more than 500 video-based classes. The two options include watching videos or interactive with videos, quizzes and assignments.

Recently, there ere more than 250 Great Courses added. These are streaming videos that cover a broad range of subjects, such as science, mathematics, philosophy, history, literature, fine arts and music, travel, business and personal development. The Great Courses are in the Libby app under extras.

Investment databases Morningstar and Value Line are available through the library catalog and can be used while traveling to keep track of investment opportunities. There is also a collection of Gale digital travel books that are found on the library catalog homepage.
