Royal Oaks in Sun City to break ground

Onsite health facility planned

Posted

Royal Oaks, a Life Plan Community at 10015 W. Royal Oak Road, Sun City will break ground to provide seniors who live at Royal Oaks and in Sun City and surrounding areas with onsite health solutions.

To celebrate, community officials will conduct a groundbreaking ceremony 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26. This event will not be open to the public.

Through the generosity of the Royal Oaks Foundation, Royal Oaks is able to offer The Vida Center, a state-ofthe-art center for medical and health-related services for the residents of Royal Oaks and the surrounding area. Residents at Royal Oaks will be able to see providers in virtually all areas of medicine and health without having to leave campus offering an enhanced on-site continuity of care.

The Vida Center, in partnership with Summit Healthcare Services, will ensure competent and effective services from primary and specialty medical care, and also a wide array of therapies, including physical, occupational, speech, aquatic, massage and chiropractic and others.

Summit Healthcare Services is a leading provider of individualized senior transitional care for physical, social, intellectual, spiritual and emotional wellness.

“This will be another exciting day for Royal Oaks. The Vida Center is just one phase of the planning that began in December of 2014, and also included the expansion neighborhood, Inspirata Pointe. The Master Planning Committee and management worked diligently to put all the pieces together and today we celebrate the official beginning of the long-awaited construction of The Vida Center. We will all now have the chance to view the construction and soon residents will be able to utilize more health services that are offered on campus.” said Dick Jorgenson, Royal Oaks board of trustees chairman. “We are excited that we are able to move forward despite all the unprecedented events that have occurred in the previous few years. We’re also excited for new opportunities and more reasons to love Royal Oaks.”

Editor’s Note: Mary Ellen Thieroff is Royal Oaks marketing director.
