Friends of the Library is offering residents a chance to beat the heat and watch a movie. “Crooked House” will show 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at Stardust Theatre, 14401 N. R.H. Johnson Blvd. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

No saving seats or food or drink inside the venue. Hearing assisted devices are now available and closed captions are shown during the film. A $3 donation is appreciated and helps support new materials for the library.

Friends of the Library is Chartered Club known as the Friends of the R.H. Johnson Library. It is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and the group helps fund the library.

Books are being purchased and there are more than 120 subscriptions including magazines, newspapers and financial reports. All materials are all paid for by the Friends of the Library.
