I am disappointed in the negativity of the commentary related to the Victory Autism Academy. The lack of compassion and empathy is surprising.
We in the community have gone through aspects of general life; adolescence, marriage, raising a family, grandkids. We have all gained some measure of fulfillment throughout the process. Our life journey is almost complete.
Children with autism will have difficulty throughout their life. This is a developmental disorder that does not go away as they become adults. It is permanent.
Schools, training centers, teach and treat with therapy how to navigate through life’s lessons; how to communicate, verbalize, socialize, deal with their frustration/anger. This is a life journey that will be forever difficult for them and their family.
