Reader upset about drivers in Sun Cities
In response to Glenn Richards' letter about “Poor Driving in Sun Cities,” I agree that some drivers are rude and reckless.
Just a few days ago, I was behind someone at the intersection of Deer Valley and 135th Avenue. The light was red, and the driver did not wait for a green light to turn left onto 135th. There was no one in sight, so he went!
My wife and I may as well live on a highway ‑ our street is a major cut-through, and cars go up and down at 45 miles per hour or more. Even golf carts go way too fast. If we are in our front yard, and see people speeding, we yell at them to slow down, but they laugh at us.
The day is coming when members of the Posse should be able to hand out citations that can be sent to the police. This reckless driving has to stop before a tragedy occurs.
