I sincerely hope that Recreation Centers of Sun City West General Manager Stephen Erno is willing to accept Tom Slade’s offer to debate the merits of the proposed strategic planning undertaking.
If Mr. Erno is unwilling to debate this issue in a public environment, I think he should resign his position immediately.
I have been under the belief that the creation of a master plan was the responsibility of the general manager. Hiring a consultant to perform this task is certainly unacceptable.
Many of us who live in Sun City West are dismayed by the costs of the yearly increases in our dues. Contrary to the assertions that it’s a “golfing community,” Sun City West is actually a retirement community.
Therefore, many of those living here are on fixed incomes.
