It’s coming this spring and you can be a part of the fun! The Sun City West Pickleball Club All-For-Charity Ball Drop is happening in March.

There will be 3,000 numbered pickleballs dropped from the sky and up to $6,600 in prizes will be awarded to winners.  The event kicks off 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 7 at 10 a.m., when the Club, in partnership with Stakeholder Sponsors; PRIME Wealth Advisors, PORA, SCW Foundation and Saini Smiles Dentistry, will make it rain pickleballs.

The All-For-Charity Ball drop and the Fun In The Sun Pickleball Tournament benefits several  local Sun City West non-profit groups:  SCW Foundation-Helping Hands, PRIDES, SCW Posse, PORA, The Community Fund of SCW, Northwest Valley Connect and AFMA Fire Corps Charity programs.

To date, the worlds largest pickleball club with nearly 1,700 SCW Pickleball Club members have helped raise more than $167,300 for local non-profit organizations, and the goal to raise more than $50,000 through this year’s event.

Not a Pickleballer??  That’s ok, everyone is welcome to join the fun and win cash prizes.  Tickets can be purchase for the  numbered pickleballs and every penny goes to the local charities. Winners do not have to be present.  The 3,000 brightly colored balls will drop from high and bounce onto a target-covered pickleball court at the Palm Ridge Pickleball Center,  13800 W. Deer Valley Drive.  Prizes are won when balls land in the target area drop zones designated for specific prizes.  If an individual's  numbered ball lands on a cash prize-or any prize, they will win. Ties are broken with a coin toss.

This year there will be over 36 guaranteed winners, with up to $6,600 in prizes awarded to some very excited ticket holders.  The  first-place prize is $1,500 in cash (with a total of $3,800 in cash prizes) and many additional prizes are being donated by our generous sponsors.  There will be vendors to shop, multiple food trucks and of course, exciting tournament pickleball play.

Ken Holtz, the FITS charity activity leader, wants to thank Prime Wealth Advisors for being the Title Event Sponsor.  Without their support of this event, it just wouldn’t be possible and also thanks to Saini Smiles Dentistry, who has generously offered a $5,000 matching contribution fund that will help generate $10,000 to benefit the charities.

Ball drop tickets are $10 each but the best deal is 3 for $25 (no limit until sold out).  Tickets can be purcahsed from the SCW Foundation office, Helping Hands Distribution Center, at the PORA office and by contacting Teresa Brown at 402-312-0565 or teresabrownpc@hotmail.com , who will bring the  ticket order to the buyers.  Don’t miss your chance to be the big winner and support these very important charities here in our own community!.

The Fun In The Sun All-For-Charity tournament and Ball Drop will run   for the Fun In The Sun ALL-FOR-CHARITY Tournament and Ball Drop., Tuesday, March 7 through Thursday, March 9, at  Liberty Courts Pickleball Center, Palm Ridge Rec Center.
