The Sun City West Pickleball Club hosted the annual Saint Patrick’s Day Bash March 17 at the Palm Ridge Recreation Center, Liberty Courts. Events coordinator Danielle Smith and her team of volunteers put together a party for the hundreds of club members in attendance, mostly in vibrant shades of green.

Mark and Sheri Smith won the costume contest. First prize was tickets to a spring training baseball game.

Gourmet hot dogs with all the trimmings were served, along with a variety of cookies. Eileen Freydberg of Homesmart Realty sponsored the event.

Pickleball continues to be the fastest-growing sport in the country, with double digit annual growth. The SCW Pickleball Club has now grown to more than 1,700 members, making it one of the largest clubs in Arizona.
