OHOA sets leadership academies

Posted

This is the last change for homeowners association board members to sign up for OHOA’s 2022 HOA Board Leadership Academy.

Newly elected board members, those thinking about running for an HOA board and experienced HOA board members who have not attended OHOA’s Board Leadership Academy in several years are encouraged to attend as much has changed legally for homeowner association boards for both planned communities and condominiums. The leadership academy provides a wealth of information to help HOA board members run a more efficient, more effective and legally compliant HOA board. OHOA classes are conducted by experienced HOA lawyers and management company professionals.

The leadership academy meets for three, 2-hour evening classes 6-8 p.m. Thursdayss Jan. 20, 27 and Feb. 3. The cost for OHOA members is $20 each; all others are $30 each.

OHOA also offers an Advanced Leadership Academy that will address HOA bidding and contracting, and HOA budgeting, reserves and risk assessment. Although these two topics are extremely important to the well-being of each HOA, they are rarely examined and discussed. The advanced leadership classes will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesdays, Feb. 16 and 23. The cost of the Advanced Leadership Academy is $15 for OHOA members; $25 for all others.
