OHOA holds final gathering of the season in Sun City West

Posted

The Organization of HOAs in Sun City West closed out the season with its annual April sharing event April 10.

HOA board members gathered for lunch and speakers. On hand were OHOA board officers who held a question-and-answer session. Among the items discussed was the state requirement of an annual audit. At another session, Sally Erickson, Neighborhood Watch coordinator for the Sun City West Posse, reviewed how to set up a neighborhood watch program in conjunction with the Sun City West Posse. A third session was an open discussion between HOA directors and the Sun City West Desert Garden Club on how they can work together. Opportunities were identified for the club to harvest plants in the HOAs to save maintenance money, and the HOAs wanting more information on substitutes for gravel, i.e. ground covers, and rejuvenating plants.

The OHOA office closed April 30 for the season and will reopen 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1. However, phone calls and emails received during the summer recess will be returned in a timely manner by the OHOA office manager. For a quicker response email achoscw@aol.com with questions and/or concerns. Calls to 623-214-6006 will be returned weekly.
