M.R. Country Band returns to country club

The M.R. Country Band and Remar Productions announce the return of the Remembering Marty Robbins open mic jam 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at the Sun City Country Club, 9433 N. 107th Ave.

Members of the band are Denny Sarver, upright bass and vocals; Keith Watts, rhythm guitar and vocals; Fred Rothert, lead guitar, electric keyboard and vocals; Dave Beaty, pedal steel guitar; and Randy Ferguson, drums and vocals.

The band opens the evening with traditional country music with vocals by the band members John Edmonson and Sandra Jacobs. The open mic segment follows, emceed by Jackie Thomas. Music selections vary but Robbins’ music is always highlighted.
