New Hope Fellowship, 19424 N. R.H. Johnson Blvd., hosts a screening of the movie “Gifted Hands” 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24.

This is the Ben Carson story, starring Cuba Gooding as the neurosurgeon who came up from a poor, inner-city youth and overcame great odds thanks to the love of his determined single mother (played by Kimberly Elise) and an unswerving Christian faith.

This will be the last of New Hope’s summer movie series for 2020. Social distancing will be observed.

Call 623 556-9570, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday.
