Sun City West residents now have an opportunity to leave a lasting memorial in the community.

The Rotary Club of Sun City West and the Recreation Centers of Sun City West jointly maintain a meditation garden at Beardsley Park, 20011 N. 12ith Ave.  The garden consists of a serpentine walkway and a fountain.

The red memorial bricks are inscribed with the names of loved ones in white. They are available int wo sizes.

The 4” by 8” bricks cost $80 and the 8” by 8” bricks cost $160. Both are available through an order form online at portal.clubrunner.ca/1725.

Robert Pratt, Rotary Club of Sun City West member, said there are about 60 memorial bricks now, and they hope to sell a few hundred more. The hope, he said, is to fill out the two ends, the area around the fountain and the entire walkway with bricks honoring loved ones and pets.

Income from the sale is divided between the rec centers, which maintains the site. and the Rotary Club. Mr. Pratt said the club uses their income charitable giving to local organizations.
