Mitzner: Club renewal, church activity irks Sun City West resident

I recall getting a Sportsman’s Club flimsy membership card about 2-3 months ago when I renewed my membership
I objected to the waste of my money on some printer with Sun City West connections. I expected to see a petty cash receipt book and seniors given a duplicate receipt when we pay with cash. I do not like the way I have seen seniors’ cash handled by some of the clubs.
You see, my experience is different, as my wife was executive director back in the 1970s into the 1980s of one of America’s largest full service senior centers, recognized by the U.S. Department on Aging as one of the finest (prior to going into medical research). So, it’s time to have a look at your financial records and maybe make some changes.
Also, my experience as an assistant county state’s attorney has given me some instincts of knowing when I may be dealing with people who are thieves.
I have noticed some of the Sun City West churches have church groups that duplicate the activities offered by Sun City West clubs. It seems Sun City West Christians are finding some of the Sun City West rec board’s club leaders repulsive.
I noticed church leadership are publicly preaching Mathew 12:33. I like reading the prophets and Jesus. They were killed, those guys had smart mouths and called the Jews a not so flattering name when the circumstances required.
