The upcoming “Creature Feature,” which was to spotlight tortoises at Estrella Mountain Regional Park, 14805 W. Vineyard Ave., Goodyear, on June 26 has been canceled due to coronavirus precautions

Guests were to meet a Sonoran Desert Tortoise up close and learn how to protect these desert dwellers.

“Did you know the Sonoran Desert Tortoise can go a full year without water?,” Estrella Mountain Regional Park asks in an event news release.

For now, all of the Estrella Mountain Regional Park June events have been canceled.
