On Thursday April 21, 2022, Marie-Rose Hufschmied, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away at the age of 92. Marie-Rose was born in Casablanca, Morocco on October 27, 1929, to Maria and Angelo Fanari. On June 23, 1953, she married Heinrich Hufschmied and emigrated to the United States in 1957. She and Heinrich lived in New York and Connecticut until they moved to Sun City West in 1996. Her infectious smile was often seen around the bridge tables in town, and she was an avid gourmet cook. She enjoyed travels to Europe, South America, Russia, the Middle East as well as all over North and Central America. She is survived by her husband, Heinrich; son, Marc; daughter-in-law, Melanie; grandchildren, Amelia, Luke & Kelsey; and brother, Julien. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday May 3, 2022, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church at 14818 W. Dear Valley Rd. in Sun City West, AZ. Marie-Rose wished for donations to go to St. Jude’s Children Hospital in her memory.
