Born in Chicago in January 1932, Marianne was the youngest child of William and Mary Rypcinski. Her beloved brothers Bill, Herb, and Ed predeceased her. She lived in Palos Hills, Illinois, and worked for Nalco Chemical Company in Chicago, advancing from secretary to office manager, before retiring to Arizona in 1979. A long-term resident of SCW, Marianne loved The Valley of the Sun, as she called the Phoenix area. She was an ardent skilled tennis player and was never happier than when watching the US Open or Wimbleton in her spacious home on West Heritage Drive. She is survived by her husband, Rudolph P. Sikler, residing at Senita Ridge Senior Living, Peoria, Arizona; her son and daughter-in-law, William Raymond Zacek and Theresa Beck Zacek, of Tampa, Florida, who served as her primary caregivers during her final years; her grandson David Zacek (Kiah Collier Zacek) of Austin, Texas; granddaughter Brita Zacek Bridges (Thomas) of Washington, D.C.; and a grandson, John Stephen Bridges. Her ashes will be interred at Camino Del Sol Funeral Chapel and Cremation Center, Sun City West, AZ 85375.
