Six members of the Sun City National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Agua Fria Chapter, recently attended the annual Massing of the Colors and Service of Remembrance patriotic ceremony at the Palm Ridge Recreation Center.
This event is conducted by the Military Order of the World Wars organization to honor all veterans. Similar events are held across the United States. Thirty-seven military and patriotic organizations were invited to attend.
Chapter member Mary Hart was honored to carry the NSDAR Agua Fria chapter flag for the presentation, posting and retiring of the colors. Patriotic music was provided by the Desert Brass Band, conducted by Music Director Charles Musgrave. Guest speaker was retired Lt. Col. USAF Scott R. Nelson.
