J.C. Eaton (Ann I. Goldfarb and James E. Clapp) returns to Sun City West with a special event 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in the Lecture Hall along R.H. Johnson Boulevard. There will be prizes and giveaways as Goldfarb (half the writing team) introduces their newest release in the Sophie Kimball Mysteries - “Pinned 4 Murder.”
This is the 13th book in the series and it takes place at the R.H. Johnson lanes.
Attendees can chat with Goldfarb about the new novel and the other two mystery series she and Clapp write. Copies from the series, along with other additions and books from their other series, will be available for purchase and anyone who buys a book will receive a book cover magnet and lip gloss. Everyone receives free swag as their way of saying thanks.
The event is free and open to the public.
When a dead body shows up in the pin return at Sun City West’s Johnson Lanes, it’s only the beginning of a tumultuous season for this retirement community.
With a killer in their midst and a high-tech developer threatening to overhaul their beloved bowling alley, the seniors turn to amateur sleuth Sophie “Phee” Kimball to strike back at both culprits. After all, she’s been recruited by her mother’s friends before. This time, however, Phee finds herself pulled in two directions. Regrettably, one of the book club ladies is tangled in the clutches of a dangerous cyber-scammer who pretends to be the love of her life.
If only that were all! The bowling alley is sabotaged, a flimflammer is found dead in the bushes and Phee’s mother fears she’ll lose her place in the radio limelight.
In order to pin down a crafty killer, Phee will need to cut the cord on the cyber-criminal, and pin the killer before they can strike again...
