Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church, 13658 W. Meeker Blvd., invites the community to experience a sacred journey of prayer and reflection at Step into Stillness: A Labyrinth Prayer Walk 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19, in front of the chapel.
The labyrinth is more than just a path—it is an ancient spiritual practice offering a space for prayer, meditation and connection with God. With its winding design leading to a central place and back out again, the labyrinth serves as a powerful symbol of spiritual journeys, reminding visitors to embrace each step rather than rush toward a destination.
For centuries, seekers and pilgrims have used the labyrinth as a tool for contemplation and personal growth. Often called “a pattern with a purpose,” this sacred path invites individuals to slow down, step away from life’s busyness and create space for the holy. Each step offers a chance to release stress, quiet the mind and open the heart to peace, renewal and deeper faith.
