Knights plan charity golf tournament, dinner

Posted

Golf committee members Ken Oliphant, Bill Bryne, Steve Clark and Dan Kurtenbach, from the Knights of Columbus of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, recently spent an afternoon planning for their upcoming charity golf event.

The tournament will be a four-person, step-aside golf scramble March 11 at the Deer Valley Golf Club. The tournament begins at 11:30 a.m. with a putting and sand blast competition. A Mexican dinner, catered by Chef Peter, will immediately follow the tournament.

Early-bird pricing (payment due Feb. 15) for a foursome is $340. There will be four winner brackets to compete in: “Players” (all have handicaps); “Gamers” (all under age 70); “Masters” (all age 70+); and “Co-ed” (2+ ladies on team).

The tournament is all about low scores and raising money to support the charitable needs of the community. Golf fliers are available at all RCSCW golf courses, including Deer Valley Golf Club, and at Prince of Peace church and office, 14818 W. Deer Valley Drive.
