Knights of Columbus Council installs new officers

Posted

Knights of Columbus Council 17893 installed officers for the new year in a ceremony at Prince of Peace Church this past July. All officers will serve the council through June 30, 2025. The council, which is now two and one-half years old, has grown rapidly to 80 members and continues to support both the parish and local community through its charitable fund-raising events.

The council recently joined other councils across the nation in the annual Knights Tootsie Roll Drive, which supports persons with intellectual disabilities and special needs. All donations collected at fundraisers will be disbursed to nonprofit organizations that work directly with those living with intellectual disabilities or having special needs.

The Knights are assisting the Prince of Peace Women’s Guild as it prepares for its annual Fall Bazaar Friday, Nov. 1 and Saturday, Nov. 2, at Prince of Peace Parish, 14818 W. Deer Valley Drive. The Bazaar contains thousands of donated items for sale. Visit popscw.org.

The Knights will also host the annual charity golf tournament and dinner Saturday, April 5, at the Deer Valley Golf Course, 1379 W. Deer Valley Drive.
