The Sun City West Sunrise Lions Club is selling luminarias exclusively at Bob’s Variety, 13567 W. Camino del Sol, now through Christmas Eve.
The Sunrise Lions have been a part of the Sun City West since its inception. Throughout the years, the organization has supported the Sun City West PRIDES, the Sun City West Community Fund, Sun City West Posse, the Salvation Army, Benevilla and Camp Tatiyee.
The Arizona Lions have owned and operated Camp Tatiyee, located near Lakeside in the White Mountains, since 1958. The purpose of the camp is to provide challenged youth and adults with a week’s camping experience, at no charge, to help strengthen their personal development. The Sunrise Lions have continually supported this camp since it was organized.
This year, the Sun City West Sunrise Lions are reaching out to the community for support of Camp Tatiyee through the luminaria program in a very major way in order to provide more special needs people an opportunity to have this experience.
The luminaria program is co-sponsored by Bob’s Variety Store. Sales will continue daily through Saturday, Dec. 24.
