It’s normal for Sun City West golf revenue to drop in the summer

Posted

After reading the opinion of Ms. Phillips in last week’s Sun City West Independent, I also watched the Jan. 9  golf committee meeting on YouTube.

I wasn’t able to see or hear anything about a $2.76 million operating loss. Maybe I just missed it.

As a golfer and employee in Sun City West, I can tell you that revenue should be down prior to the end of November. The fiscal year runs from June 1 to May 31. Golf during June, July and August is practically non-existent due to the hot weather.

I would encourage Ms. Phillips to make an appointment with golf operations at Pebblebrook Golf Course.

They would be more than happy to explain and justify any concerns she might have.
