Independent Newsmedia has again partnered with Sun Health Communities to present its 2020 Celebration for Hometown Heroes.

The community event is 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, April 16 at Grandview Terrace, 14515 W. Granite Valley Drive.

Hometown Heroes is an award celebration of individuals and businesses, recognizing their local achievements and distinguished contributions in Sun City West.

Categories for recognition include Community, which is comprised of individual or group representatives in the form of Arts Innovator, Emergency Responder, Mentor, Spiritual, Trailblazer, Veteran, Volunteer, Lifetime Achievement and Other, and a Business category, which is divided into Arts, Culture, & Entertainment, Education, Entrepreneur, Health Care, Nonprofit Organization, Small Business, Large Business and Other.

Nomination forms are available at YourValley.net (select Our Events in the upper right, then select Hometown Heroes) or by calling 623-445-2814 or emailing wvnews@newszap.com.

Submissions must be received by Friday, March 13, 2020.

Sponsorships are also available for businesses and trusted organizations, which can partner to support these local heroes and their achievements.
