Independent announces enhanced publication changes

Posted

Dear Reader:

We’re happy to inform you of exciting changes to our publications that will take effect beginning July 1, 2024.

We’re standardizing our publications companywide to optimize our resources and ensure long-term sustainability to bring local, nonpartisan journalism to our communities. The new Arizona compact size will be easier on the eyes and easier to hold similar to a magazine. We are returning our mother publication, the Daily State News in Dover, Delaware (established 1953), to its former newspaper format as well.

The change brings more color to our companywide publications, and enhanced newspaper quality. All cover positions in our news publications will be printed on white paper, including our center spreads like the Fountain Hills Times Independent. This improvement is part of our ongoing commitment to delivering a premium reading experience for our audience and providing maximum visibility for our advertisers.

Other significant benefits include:

  • Enhanced Focus: By streamlining our publication template and transitioning to bright white covers will provide a more engaging experience for readers, while still delivering high-quality content that is targeted and relevant to our audience and your potential customers. We would like to hear from you, our readers, on news content you’d like to see in your Independent.
  • Elevated Brand Image: Our hyperlocal publications have built a reputation for reliability, authenticity, and credibility within their respective communities. By associating your brand with our trusted publications, you can leverage this positive reputation to enhance your own brand’s credibility and trustworthiness with local consumers. As our name implies, we are independent – leaning neither right nor left. In a world of ever-increasing biased reporting, we have a very loyal and dedicated readership who enjoy our non-partisan reporting.

We recognize the importance of effective communication and transparency in our relationship with our readers and advertisers, and we are committed to keeping you informed every step of the way.

We sincerely appreciate your continued support and partnership as we navigate these changes together. If you have any questions or concerns about these changes, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Thank you for your attention, and we look forward to continuing to serve you with excellence.
