Holocaust survivor speaks at Sun City church

A program titled “Surviving the Holocaust” is 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Desert Garden UCC, 18818 N. 128th Ave., in the church’s Fellowship Hall.

Holocaust survivor Esther Basch will share her experience starting when she was 16 and was placed in a cattle car and taken to Auschwitz. Basch, referred to as the “Honey Girl,” will spread a message of how to live life. She is now 95 and is led by a core lesson from her family to love, forgive and think positively.

Coffee and snacks will also be provided.
