I just read that Roger Ball retired as your reporter for Sun City West and has been replaced by Jennifer Jimenez.
I want to take this opportunity to wish Mr. Ball a happy retirement and thank him for giving me the best Christmas present I could have ever hoped for.
Mr. Ball wrote a story concerning the “End of an Era” for my father’s Christmas display. The story appeared on the front page of the Sun City West Independent on Christmas Eve and hundreds of people responded by driving by and enjoying the Christmas display for a final time. I had a chance to speak with dozens of people who stopped by and many expressed that the article was a refreshing piece of positive news in an environment that’s often filled with negativity.
I also had a chance to speak with others who were touched by the article and wanted to see the display as they reflected on the loss of their own loved one.
